SOLD. Similar Examples Desired. Registered in August 1979 this C107 series has covered 73k miles. With a comprehensive history file & a documented restoration to bodywork, including sills & bulkhead areas completed in 2017, this 450 SLC presents and drives superbly. Finished in Astral silver metallic paint (code 735) with contrasting Anthracite velour (901) trim & walnut wood veneer centre console. With standard equipment including all electric windows x4, central locking, power steering & ABS. The SLC model was based on a lengthened version of the chassis from the R107 SL. Introduced in 1971 as the replacement to the W111 coupe it continued in production until 1981 when the S Class C126, better known as the SEC model, replaced it. A total number of 62,888 SLC models were produced making this the third most rare model of Mercedes-Benz. The 450SLC 4.5 model numbering just 31739. This example was previously sold by ourselves to the most recent owners therefore we know this superb car very well. Presenting & driving superbly this car has the optioned electric sliding steel sunroof, metallic paint, 14” Bundt light alloy wheels fitted recently with four new period correct tread tyres, a re trimmed OEM (new old stock) interior trim, & seat belt feeders. The most recent owners have made several improvements during their ownership to include the addition of a Blaupunkt CD/radio with full Bluetooth connectivity, all ceramic electrical fuses have been replaced & new front fog lamps & brackets fitted. The C107 models have been steadily appreciating in value during the past few years, especially cars of this standard.Being that this superb example is in excess of 40 years old it also benefits from being MOT exempt & Road Tax exempt when registered for Historic Vehicle Tax. The car will have an MOT carried out however prior to its new owner taking delivery.
